FSI - Forensic Science Initiative

Uses Forensic Science to prepare high school students for STEM college work and careers. Students spend 5 weeks on the NJIT campus in the summer participating in hands-on activities in Forensic Biology, Forensic Chemistry, Crime Scene Investigation (in our custom-built labs), Forensic Law, and field research conducted at various sites in the Greater Metropolitan Area. College prep activities, lunch and on-campus recreation are included. Open to rising high school Seniors who will be taking either NJIT FRSC 201 Introduction to Forensic Science or a high school forensics course during their senior year. 

Summer 2026 Dates: July 6th – August 6th, Monday - Thursday, 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.

Registration fee: $50

Tuition: $1550*

*Some scholarships are available.
